I. Description:

The 2025 USAPL Arizona State Championships is open to all USAPL members in Arizona.  Out of state lifters are eligible to sign up as guest lifters beginning on Nov 1st if spots are still available.

II. Requirements:
- Must have a non-expired USAPL membership on meet date (2024 or 2025). If you need to get/renew your USAPL membership, you can still register for the meet now, and purchase the membership on November 1st so that it covers 2025 as well.
- For placing in your division & weight class, you must be an Arizona residents*, meaning the address shown on your USAPL membership card must be an Arizona address. You can still compete if you're from out-of-state, see Out-of-state section below. 
- All lifters must have been drug-free for the past thirty-six (36) months.
- No qualifying total needed for this meet.

III. General info:

When: March 15 & 16, 2025

Where: Omega Strong Gym

This will be a one-platform, two-day meet.

This meet can be used to:

- Qualify for any Nationals including 2025 Raw Nationals (since this is State Championships).

- Break American Records.  Record database

 

IV. Registration Timeline (meet shirt not included):

Early Bird Registration deadline: 10/01 to 10/31 - $125

Regular Registration deadline: 11/01 - 1/31 - $150

Late Registration: from 2/01 to 02/29 - $175

Additional division: $25

Registration closes after 2/29/25.

 

V. Meet Schedule (tentative): This will be a two day, one-platform meet.

- Optional Early Equipment Check (not weigh-in): Friday, March 14.

- Weigh-in: Session* 1 & 3: 7:00AM - 8:30AM / Session* 2&4: 1PM - 2:30PM

- Lifting starts at 9AM for Session 1, 3PM for Session 2.

*Sessions are breakdown based on gender, weight class & amount of lifters signed up.

 

VI. Out-of-state (non-Arizona resident)

Since this is the Arizona State Championships, Out-of-State lifters are welcomed to register as guest lifters beginning on 11/01 if spots are still available. See the screenshot from USAPL Rulebook below for more info:

* Guest lifters are not eligible for awards within age divisions. 

* Guest lifters may set state and American records and may earn a qualifying total for a national meet.

* Guest lifters are subject to all normal rules of competition and must meet the same qualifying criteria to enter the meet.

* We will have awards for Guest Lifters based on DOTS points.

(If you are currently residing in Arizona but still have an out-of-state address on your USAPL card, if you want, you can change it to your AZ address on the USAPL Membership website, to avoid competing as a Guest Lifter. Once changed, please let us know)

VII. Changes after signing up:

For any meet change request including weight class, division, team name, etc.. Any division(s) add or changes or add won’t be accepted within 2 weeks out from the date of the meet.
